Across the proverbial tracks, two boys named Mike grew up in Madison, Wisconsin. North and South of the Beltline collided at James Madison Memorial High School, where these Two Mikes first met in 1997 over red solo cups in Owen Woods. One known for stoicism the other for silliness they represented the brains of their social set, a mixed bunch with a shared desire to live life to the fullest and never take oneself too seriously. This gang of fun-loving and ambitious people was the foundation for the idea behind Two Mikes.
One Mike went to Notre Dame, the other to UW Madison, both graduated with job offers in the corporate world. Their friendship was maintained across midwestern borders, and was strengthened when a member of the group was killed in the War in Iraq in 2005, reinforcing the notion that life is far too precious to not live in the moment.
Two Mikes, both Wisconsin natives, found their way to the Twin Cities. As residents of the Land of Lakes, they naturally rekindled their mutual childhood loves of fishing and continued to live the legacy of good times, instituted long ago. In 2011, the Two Mikes pooled their collective skills and created Synergistics Innovation, LLC. By May 2012, they had their first product patent for the Calculus Detection Pro, which is now used in over 30 states and 150 dental schools.
Established in June of 2014, Two Mikes is as a home for innovative consumer solutions that are socially and environmentally responsible. It is a company that leverages the varied skills of many and has a culture grounded in care-free and grateful living. After all, good times are good.
